Ammerndorf, Germany
TSV Ammerndorf in Germany was founded as a gymnastics club on 10 February 1924, making it one of the oldest clubs in the village. In 1949 it started afresh as Sportverein Ammerndorf 1924. A lovely story from the club's website: the Ammerndorf dairy supplied the club with hot water, carried to the pitch in milk churns before every match. Since its 50th anniversary in 1974, the club has kept growing, with new buildings and playing areas, including for tennis.
Almost a century after it was founded, we got to build a mini-pitch in the club's traditional blue: a SoccerGround Classic, 24 x 15 m, with 4 m ball-stop netting all round, equipment for basketball and volleyball and Polytan LigaGrass Synergy turf. We wish the club lots of fun and many more sporting years!
