Schwalmtal-Waldniel, Germany
Well over a hundred children who, for various reasons, cannot live with their birth parents find a loving, family-like home at the Bethanien children's village in Schwalmtal-Waldniel, in the Lower Rhine region of Germany. The village also has a riding stable, its own music school and day nurseries.
The heart of village life is the site on Ungerather Straße. That is where a SoccerGround multi-sport pitch now stands too, 20 x 13 m, with ball-stop netting all round, basketball equipment and Poligras SuperPlay turf on an elastic base layer, for lots of sport and play.
