Well over a hundred kids who, for various reasons, cannot live with their birth parents find a loving, family-like home at the Bethanien children's village in Schwalmtal-Waldniel, in the Lower Rhine region of Germany. The village also has a riding stable, its own music school and daycare centers.
The heart of village life is the campus on Ungerather Straße. That is where a SoccerGround multisport court now stands too, 65' x 42', with perimeter ball-stop netting, basketball equipment and Poligras SuperPlay turf on a shock pad, for lots of sports and play.
