The Nikolaus Breberen School is situated in the rural municipality of Gangelt in Heinsberg, the westernmost district in Germany. The children who attend this school come from Gangelt, Breberen (including Brüxgen, Broichhoven, Buscherheide, Nachbarheide and the garden settlement), Langbroich, Harzelt, Hastenrath, Mindergangelt, Schümm, Kievelberg, and Vinteln. A new SoccerGround mini pitch now graces the school grounds.
