The floods of July 2021 damaged seven of the county's 13 schools in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler and Sinzig, Germany, some of them severely. So in Grafschaft, near the Ringen highway exit, a whole school campus was built on around 215,000 square feet, with 40 classrooms, offices, a cafeteria, science labs, a schoolyard and a bus area, largely in temporary buildings.
The new multisport court of the ARE-Gymnasium is semi-mobile too: a SoccerGround Advanced, 65' x 42', with a net cage, equipment for volleyball and basketball and Polytan LigaGrass Synergy turf. If needed, it can move in a few years. Until then, it is sure to get plenty of use. Have fun!
