Flensburg, Germany
Around 150 children, teenagers and young adults visit the Schlachthof youth park in Flensburg, Germany, every day. Run by the Sportpiraten Flensburg association, it is the result of years of working together with young people from Flensburg and the region. As an out-of-school learning venue, with workshops, camps, participation projects, a rental and first-aid station and lots of events and contests, it is known and loved across Germany's BMX and skateboarding scene.
At the "Butcher Jam 2023", people celebrated, rode and played football in glorious sunshine, the latter on the brand-new SoccerGround mini-pitch: a SoccerGround Classic Antivandal, 20 x 13 m, with steel mesh all round, overhead netting, floodlights and mini goals on asphalt. Of course, that makes us especially happy.
