Saterland, Germany
Saterland ("Seelterlound") in Germany has something special: its minority language, Saterland Frisian (Seeltersk). Because the area was once cut off by vast moors, a language of its own developed and survived here, still spoken by around 2,000 people. In 1991, this earned Saterland a spot in the Guinness Book of Records as "Europe's smallest language island".
Now the youth park has a sports island too: a SoccerGround Classic Antivandal, 65' x 42', with equipment for basketball and volleyball and SuperPlay artificial turf. Have fun chatting and playing!
