Kallang, Singapore
On the roof of the CSC @ Tessensohn clubhouse, two teams play soccer side by side in the middle of Singapore. The Civil Service Club has set up two freestanding SoccerGround Advanced here, each measuring 100' x 50'.
In a city-state like Singapore, space for sports is scarce, and a roof provides it. The dasher boards of the SoccerGround Advanced are freestanding and need no anchoring in the ground, so the roof was left undamaged. Ball-stop netting 13' high, including the boards, and roof netting at 13' to 16' keep the ball on the roof. The game is played on artificial turf with 10' x 6.5' goals, and under the lights in the evening.
Both fields are run by Stadio Futsal, which also runs the field on the Amara Hotel in Tanjong Pagar. Stadio was founded by the former national players V. Sundramoorthy and Marko Kraljevic. The fields are booked for 5v5 games.
