Futsal, Built to Last

Futsal is five-a-side soccer on a hard court, with a smaller, low-bounce ball and 10' x 6.5' goals: fast, technical and full of touches. SoccerGround builds futsal courts on the board system of the German Soccer Federation's 1,019 Mini-Pitches, with futsal lines and goals, hard sport floor tiles, and rebound boards and netting that keep the ball on the court.

The boards stand outside the playing area with a run-off zone in between, so futsal can be played by the rules, with kick-ins at the touchline. For small-sided games and recess, the boards simply keep the ball in play.

What makes it a futsal court

Futsal size

The Futsal Laws of the Game allow 82' to 138' in length and 52' to 82' in width, and 125' to 138' by 66' to 82' for international matches. Our 131' x 66' court fits the international range; other sizes on request.

Futsal goals

10' x 6.5' (3 x 2 m), the regulation size and the standard goal of our mini-pitches, built into the steel structure with doors that are approved as emergency exits.

Hard sport floor tiles

A modular floor of interlocking tiles, laid on a level base: the hard, smooth surface futsal is made for, with a fast, even ball roll. Artificial turf is available if soccer comes first.

Boards and netting

40" sound-insulated boards and ball-stop netting 10', 13' or 16' high, a roof net on request. With lighting, the court is playable into the evening.

Futsal Court Questions

What is a futsal court?

Futsal is five-a-side soccer on a hard court with a smaller, low-bounce ball and 10' x 6.5' goals. A futsal court is marked with futsal lines: halfway line, center circle and the two penalty areas. SoccerGround builds it with rebound boards and ball-stop netting around it, so the ball stays on the court and out of the street.

How big is a futsal court?

The Futsal Laws of the Game allow a court of 82' to 138' in length and 52' to 82' in width; for international matches 125' to 138' by 66' to 82'. Our 131' x 66' court fits the international range. Smaller courts, such as 100' x 50' or 65' x 42', are popular for training, recess and small-sided games.

What size are futsal goals?

Futsal goals are 10' wide and 6.5' high (3 x 2 m). That is the standard goal size of our mini-pitches, built into the steel structure, with doors in the goals that are approved as emergency exits.

Can a futsal court have rebound boards?

Yes. The boards stand outside the playing area with a run-off zone in between, so futsal can be played with kick-ins at the touchline. For small-sided games the boards simply keep the ball in play.

Which surface is best for futsal?

Futsal is played on a hard, smooth surface. We build our futsal courts with hard sport floor tiles: a modular floor of interlocking tiles, laid on a level base, for a fast, even ball roll. If soccer on turf comes first, the court can also get artificial turf.

Can a futsal court go on an old tennis or basketball court?

Often, yes. The free-standing SoccerGround Advanced stands on a level, load-bearing surface such as asphalt or concrete, usually without foundations, so an existing hard court is often a good base. Send us photos and the dimensions of your site.

Can a futsal court be used without supervision?

Yes. TÜV Rheinland, the independent German testing body, tested the SoccerGround board system as a complete system and certified it to DIN EN 15312 for freely accessible multi-sport equipment.

What does a futsal court cost?

The price depends on the size, system, surface and equipment such as netting height or lighting. Design your court in the configurator and request a free, no-obligation quote; a local contractor usually prepares the base to our construction plan.
